My poet's back!

The Denouement

By, C. Heidi Drew

2-7-2007

The story rolls along with bumps in the psyche

It reaches the climax of apprehending a long fought battle

Won, though unsure of who to thank for the apex

She begs the denouement be gentle and true to her drama

Stories of cherished ones have wrapped before her

The legacies may have been no greater than their contribution

To the experience of the beloved ones' minds

Reactions that lead to future fabrications

Watching the last, close episode of the preceding generation

She ponders her majestic finale and feels no control

Of the production in which she will take part

But it is her soul asking it to be an art

Though there may be no grand recognition of its value

She will ride the wave knowing it was beautiful

And her offspring will think it was true

And beneficial
