Owls, on the other hand, have exceedingly acute vision, and from a distance of 1 km can distinguish “a mouse” from “a moose” (even for fonts as small as 6 pts). As a result, owls have developed the ability to shuffle their mottled flight feathers into distinct patterns.. This avian barcode allows them to communicate their important issues (gender, willingness to have sex, etc) over great distances. For some bizarre reason, however, there is one question that cannot be addressed with such a system, and owls are condemned forever to fly around the woods at night asking their big unanswered question: “who-cooks-for-you, who-cooks-for-you?”
